Wally’s will be hosting us in their private room upstairs with their amazing appetizers and a welcome cocktail to kick off the evening. The Balvenie Stories “A Collection of Curious Casks” 14 Year American Bourbon Barrel Single Malt Scotch Whisky:

Destined for Single Barrel 12 glory, this whisky took an intriguing turn. Distilled just after peat week, a whisper of smokiness infused the spirit, a surprising note that complements the rich character imparted by our finest Bourbon casks during its 14-year slumber. This unexpected encounter has yielded a whisky unlike any other, a testament to the subtle influences that shape a Balvenie.  

 

This expression is a limited edition release from The Balvenie, part of their "Stories" collection. It highlights the collaboration between Malt Master Kelsey McKechnie and Samples Coordinator George Paterson in selecting unique and exceptional casks. The whisky, aged in American Bourbon barrels, offers a blend of flavors, including candied orange peel, vanilla oakiness, and a hint of smokiness from the peat week.

Balvenie distillery is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky distillery located in Dufftown, Scotland. Is owned by William Grant & Sons. Balvenie makes whisky in the traditional batch process of the production of single malt. The use of locally grown barley is preferred, and it is floor-malted where possible. Of the 120+ distilleries in Scotland, Balvenie is one of only seven distilleries with its own malting floor.
