Welcome to an evening where whiskey meets the silver screen! Southern California Whiskey Club is thrilled to host a Filmland Spirits tasting at The Phoenix, guided by Founder & CEO Troy Bolotnick and CFO Steve Canepa. Based in Los Angeles, Filmland Spirits brings “Stories You Can Drink” to life—each award-winning pour unfolding like a film with its own cast, plot, and flavor arc. Settle in for a cinematic journey through bourbons and ryes, including their bold Extended Cut expressions.

 

We’ll kick things off with a cocktail during happy hour, then roll straight into the tasting with plenty of behind-the-scenes storytelling as Troy and Steve share how and why each expression was created. Sit back, sip, and enjoy the show. 🍿✨

the creative process

Filmland Spirits was founded in 2022 by a team of whiskey enthusiasts, movie buffsand liquor industry pros. In the Fall of 2022, Filmland Spirits launched its initial three whiskey expressions consisting of two bourbons and a rye whiskey. The company is headquartered in Los Angeles, but sources its whiskeys from across the country and brings them "on location" to Kentucky where they are aged, blended and bottled. Filmland Spirits blends serious whiskey with serious fun and offers a unique and creative option for whiskey consumers, while delivering exceptional bourbons and ryes — each of which have won a Gold or Double Gold Medal.  [link]
