about the distillery:
Founded in 1824, Fettercairn Distillery is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky producer located at the foot of the Grampian foothills in the town of Fettercairn. Over its 200-year history, the distillery has changed ownership several times before being acquired by Whyte & Mackay in 1973, where it remains today under the ownership of Alliance Global. Surrounded by the pristine landscapes of the Cairngorms, Fettercairn is renowned for its spirit of innovation, most notably its distinctive copper cooling ring that showers the stills with water during distillation, encouraging only the lightest vapors to rise and creating the whisky’s signature tropical fruit character.
