Join the Southern California Whiskey Club for a cozy PHriendsgiving evening of friendship, partnered with Laphroaig and Ronan. At the heart of the night is Càirdeas, pronounced somewhere between “gorgeous” and “car chase.” Càirdeas means “friendship” in Scots Gaelic — even if you can’t say it, you should still drink it.

The night will start with a bespoke welcome cocktail by Bar Director Jeremy Wade, spotlighting Laphroaig Oak Select. Guided by Laphroaig Ambassador Rich Varga, we will dive directly into three monster expressions (totaling 79 years of age!) with a 1998 Signatory, a 25-Year-Old, and a 30-Year-Old. In the PHriendsgiving theme, we will have a family-style meal featuring inventive pizzas and fun side dishes. The 3 Càirdeas releases will be poured during dessert to toast the night. We’ll be seated outside in the cozy, heated patio area, so plan ahead to bundle up and make wonderful memories.

the lineup

1. Laphroaig 24 Year Old, Signatory 1998, Cask Strength, 49.7% ABV

2. Laphroaig 25 Year Old, 2023 Release, 47.3% ABV

3. Laphroaig 30 Year Old, 2025 Release, 45.8% ABV

about the distillery

Laphroaig, meaning “the beautiful hollow by a broad bay” in Islay’s native Gaelic tongue, is a place like no other. The distillery is perched on the shore, exposed to all the elements the Hebridean Sea can throw at it since 1815. Over two centuries later, the distillery boasts seven stills and their original kilns still burn bright. [link
